Checkoutbooks processes personal data of website visitors, payments cost scan applicants and clients. We handle that data with care and comply with applicable privacy laws, including the GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the CCPA. This statement explains what we process, why, and for how long.
What we process
- Contact and scan forms: name, email address, store URL, revenue range, current payment processor and — if you attach it — your processor statement.
- Client administration: the data needed to deliver our services, including financial administration data.
- Website visits: we use privacy-friendly analytics without cookies and without identifiable visitor profiles.
What we use it for
Only for the purpose you provided it for: preparing your scan report, answering your message, or delivering the agreed services. We do not sell data and do not send unsolicited marketing.
Retention periods
Scan requests and attached documents are kept for a maximum of twelve months, unless you become a client. Client administration is subject to the statutory (tax) retention period of seven years.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to object to processing. E-mail info@checkoutbooks.com to exercise these rights. If we cannot resolve it together, you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
